Our Work

Education

We are providing educational opportunities to young girls deprived of education in Kandahar, Helmand, Khost, Nangarhar, Kabul, and other provinces of Afghanistan. We are proud that hundreds of girls are learning with us through our online school and modern education programs, and they are determined to fully realize their right to education. Graduation of 22 Girls from the Modern Education Program; In 2024, AfghanTrust launched Kandahar’s first online school for girls—an initiative that was met with overwhelming enthusiasm from hundreds of students and families. Through this platform, dozens of girls enrolled in modern education classes, despite widespread restrictions on female education. After a year of dedicated learning, 22 girls successfully graduated from the first cycle of our online modern education program on May 15, 2025. This marks a powerful milestone for female education in southern Afghanistan, where such opportunities remain extremely rare. A second class was launched in 2025 with over 60 enrolled students. Unfortunately, due to lack of resources, the program was discontinued—leaving dozens of motivated girls disappointed and psychologically impacted. Today, hundreds of Afghan girls remain eagerly waiting for a chance to begin or resume their education through our online school. AfghanTrust is committed to rebuilding and expanding this vital program—with your support, we can bring them back to class.

Business and Skilled

We have registered up to 20 women-led businesses across Afghanistan that produce both food and non-food products. Hundreds of women are affiliated with these businesses, many of whom need skill development, marketing support, and business growth opportunities. We assist and support them through training and market access to help them grow and move toward self-reliance. Women’s Empowerment in Business and Handicrafts Over the past two years, our partners have worked closely with dozens of women, providing training and mentorship in business development and the promotion of traditional handicrafts. These efforts have helped many women take their first steps toward economic independence—a great source of pride for our team. Despite having minimal resources, our team has remained committed to supporting women in key areas such as education, entrepreneurship, skills development, and rights awareness. In a society where women often face cultural and economic barriers, these initiatives provide them with the tools to thrive.

Healthcare

We are also actively engaged in women’s health and humanitarian support. We urgently need dedicated donors in this area to help address the growing health challenges faced by women in our communities, especially in maternal care and access to essential health kits. In addition, we provide primary humanitarian aid to vulnerable Afghan women who have been forcibly deported from Iran and Pakistan, helping them recover from extreme poverty and the hardships of displacement. Our team takes great pride in supporting hundreds of vulnerable families through the distribution of both food and non-food items. These humanitarian efforts were carried out with transparency and care, targeting households that were most affected by poverty, displacement, or crisis. A significant portion of this aid was delivered to returning and displaced families, many of whom had no male breadwinner and were struggling to meet basic needs. The assistance included essential food packages and emergency supplies, providing relief to some of the most marginalized members of the community.
